The IMCAS World Congress 2025 (IMCAS 2025), one of the world’s leading medical aesthetics conferences, is concluding its final day with an atmosphere full of enthusiasm and excitement.

At this prestigious conference, Dr. Won Lee of Yonsei E1 Plastic Surgery delivered a lecture titled “Ocular Complication Induced by HA Filler and Possible Treatment.”
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are widely used for wrinkle reduction and facial contour enhancement, but unexpected complications may arise during the procedure. Among these, ocular complications caused by vascular occlusion can be particularly severe, requiring immediate intervention.
Dr. Lee emphasized that the choice of filler is a key factor in both preventing and treating complications, stating:
“Using a filler with the lowest level of MoD (Degree of Modification), such as Lorient Filler, is essential. If an ocular complication occurs, this allows for effective dissolving of the filler within the blood vessels, enabling successful treatment.”
